- Next action available: You can continue entering an exact value or multiple value for finer control.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: An Exactly value that is too small can make text look crowded or clipped.
- Environment note: At Least, Exactly, and Multiple are more suitable for precise layout control.
3. Set paragraph spacing
Entry: Home tab → arrow in the Paragraph group → Indents and Spacing
- Select the paragraph you want to adjust.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Paragraph dialog.
- Enter values for Before and After under Indents and Spacing.

Success Criteria
- Visual result: The blank space between the target paragraph and nearby paragraphs changes.
- Next action available: You can combine this with line spacing settings for full page layout adjustment.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Changing only Before or only After may still leave paragraph separation unclear.
- Environment note: The final spacing effect depends on the settings of adjacent paragraphs as well.
