1. Insert a Cover

Feature entry: Insert tab → Cover

  1. Open a WPS Writer document.
  2. Click the Insert tab on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Cover to open the cover gallery.
  4. Browse the available cover styles and choose the template you want.
  5. Click the template to insert it at the beginning of the document.

Success Criteria

  • A new cover page appears at the beginning of the document.
  • You can click the text area on the cover and continue editing.

Tips While Using

  • Some templates display a membership label, so check template availability before selecting one.
  • Keep your network connection available when browsing online templates.

2. Edit Cover Content

Feature entry: The inserted cover page

  1. Go to the cover page that has already been inserted.
  2. Click the text box on the cover.
  3. Enter or update the title, subtitle, author, or other text.
  4. If you need to replace the image, right-click the image and select Change Picture.

Success Criteria

  • The text on the cover has been updated.
  • If you replaced the image, the new image is shown on the cover.

Tips While Using

  • Make sure you click the text box or image area on the cover before editing.
  • After replacing an image, review the overall page layout again.

3. Delete a Cover

Feature entry: Insert tab → Cover → Delete Cover Page

  1. Click the Insert tab.
  2. Click Cover.
  3. Select Delete Cover Page.
  4. Confirm that the cover page has been removed from the document.

Success Criteria

  • The current cover page is removed.
  • The rest of the document remains available for editing.

Tips While Using

  • Before deleting the cover, confirm that the document no longer needs a title page.
  • If you want a different style afterward, insert another cover template.
