1. Insert a Blank Page

Entry: Tools > Insert > Blank Page

  1. Open the Writer document you want to edit.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Blank Page.
  5. A new blank page is added at the current position.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new blank page appears in the document.
  • Next action available: You can continue typing, pasting, or formatting content on the new page.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the cursor is in the wrong place, the blank page may be inserted in an unexpected position.
  • Environment note: This works in an editable Writer document.

2. Check Whether the Blank Page Was Inserted

Entry: Review the document after insertion

  1. After inserting the blank page, scroll down through the document.
  2. Check whether a new full-page blank area appears after the current content.
  3. Tap inside the new page area to confirm that the cursor can move there.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new blank page area appears after the original content.
  • Next action available: The cursor can be placed on the new page for continued editing.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the zoom level is too small, the page break effect may be harder to notice at first.

3. Remove an Unwanted Blank Page

Entry: Enter editing mode on the blank page and delete it

  1. Double-tap near the top of the blank page to enter editing mode.
  2. Place the cursor at a deletable position on that page.
  3. Use the delete key to remove the blank page content or page break position.
  4. Confirm that the document returns to its original continuous layout.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The extra blank page disappears.
  • Next action available: The document returns to a continuous layout and remains editable.
