  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Header and Footer.
  5. Enter the content you want to show in the header or footer.

  • UI state: The document enters header and footer editing mode, and you can type at the top or bottom of the page.
  • Next actions: You can continue typing, open header settings, or move to footer editing.

  • Common mistakes: If the document is not in editing mode first, the related entry in the bottom toolbar may be harder to find.

2. Adjust Header Settings

Entry point: Tools → Insert → Header and Footer → Header Settings

  1. Tap any editable area in the document.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Header and Footer.
  5. Tap Header Settings above the editing area.
  6. Choose the alignment you need.
  7. If needed, choose the line thickness and style for the header line.

  • UI state: The Header Settings panel opens normally and shows alignment and line style options.
