1. Copy Format

Entry point: Tools > Home > Format Painter area > Copy Format

  1. Open the WPS Docs document that you want to edit.
  2. Select the text whose formatting you want to copy.
  3. Tap Tools.
  4. Open the Home tab.
  5. Tap Copy Format.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The format is ready to be reused on another text selection.
  • Next actions: You can continue to Paste Format and apply the copied style elsewhere.

2. Paste Format

Entry point: Tools > Home > Format Painter area > Paste Format

  1. Complete Copy Format first.
  2. Select the target text that you want to format.
  3. Tap Tools.
  4. Open the Home tab.
  5. Tap Paste Format.

  • UI state: The target text shows the same font, size, color, or character style as the source text.

3. Clear Format

Entry point: Tools > Home > Format Painter area > Clear Format

  5. Tap Clear Format.

  • UI state: Existing text styling is removed from the selected text.
