1. Copy Formatting

Entry path: Tools → Home tab → Format Painter section → Copy Formatting

1. Select the text that contains the style you want to reuse.
2. Tap Tools to open the editing panel.
3. Open the Home tab.
4. Tap Copy Formatting in the Format Painter section.

Success Criteria

• The source text formatting has been copied and is ready to use.
• You can continue by applying the copied formatting to target text.

Tips While Using

• Select the source text before you copy formatting.
• This feature is mainly used for text formatting rather than paragraph layout changes.

2. Paste Formatting

Entry path: Tools → Home tab → Format Painter section → Paste Formatting

1. Complete a Copy Formatting action first.
2. Select the target text that should receive the style.
3. Tap Tools to open the editing panel.
4. Open the Home tab.
5. Tap Paste Formatting in the Format Painter section.

Success Criteria

• The target text now uses the same text formatting as the source text.
• You can check whether the font, size, color, bold, or italic style now matches.

Tips While Using

• Complete Copy Formatting before you paste formatting.
