How-to Guide

1. Insert a Bookmark

Feature entry: Top menu bar > Insert > Bookmark

  1. Place the cursor where you want to add a bookmark, or select the content you want to mark first.
  2. Click Insert on the top menu bar.
  3. Click Bookmark.
  4. In the Bookmark dialog box, enter a bookmark name.
  5. Choose a sort option as needed: Name or Location.
  6. Click Add to finish.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The bookmark name appears in the bookmark list.
  • What you can do next: You can continue with go-to or delete actions.

Tips While Using

  • A bookmark name cannot start with a number.
  • A bookmark name cannot contain spaces.
  • Use a clear name so the bookmark is easier to find later.

2. Go to a Bookmark

Feature entry: Top menu bar > Insert > Bookmark

  1. Click Insert on the top menu bar.
  2. Click Bookmark to open the bookmark list.
  3. Select the bookmark you want to go to.
  4. Click Go To and the cursor jumps to that location.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The cursor moves to the target bookmark location.
  • What you can do next: You can continue editing, reviewing, or inserting content there.

Tips While Using

  • If the document has changed a lot, confirm that the bookmark name still matches the target content.
  • When there are many bookmarks, a consistent naming method can make them easier to find.

3. Delete a Bookmark

Feature entry: Top menu bar > Insert > Bookmark

  1. Click Insert on the top menu bar.
  2. Click Bookmark to open the bookmark list.
  3. Select the bookmark you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete to remove it.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The selected bookmark no longer appears in the bookmark list.
  • What you can do next: You can add a new bookmark or continue organizing other bookmarks.

Tips While Using

  • Before deleting a bookmark, confirm that you no longer need that jump marker.
  • If bookmarked content is deleted, the related bookmark may also become invalid.
