How-to Guide
1. Apply Text Effects from the ribbon
Entry path: Home → Text Effects drop-down arrow
- Select the text that you want to format.
- Click the Home tab.

2. Apply Text Effects from the task pane
Entry path: Task pane → Properties → Effects tab
- Select the text that you want to format.
- In the task pane, click Properties.
- In the pop-up window, switch to the Effects tab.
- Select the text effect you want and review the result.

- The Effects tab opens successfully.
- The selected text shows the chosen effect.
Tips While Using
- If no text is selected first, the effect may not apply to the intended content.

3. Apply Text Effects from the right-click menu
Entry path: Right-click menu → Font → Text Effects → Effects tab
- Select the text that you want to format.
- Right-click and choose Font.
- In the Font dialog box, click Text Effects.
- Switch to the Effects tab.
- Select the effect options you want.
- Click OK to apply the effect.

- The Text Effects settings in the Font dialog box are applied.

4. Clear applied Text Effects
Entry path: Home → Text Effects
- Select the text that already has a text effect.
- Click Text Effects on the Home tab.
- Select No Effect or the corresponding clear option.
- Check whether the text returns to a normal display state.
Success Criteria
- Shadow, reflection, glow, or 3-D rotation has been removed.
- The text returns to a normal style and the content remains intact.
Tips While Using
- Confirm the selected text range before clearing the effect.
- If other font styles remain, adjust them separately in the font settings if needed.
