1. Add a Pinyin Guide

Entry path: Home tab → Font → Pinyin Guide

  1. Select the text that needs phonetic annotation.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. In the Font group, click Pinyin Guide.
  4. In the dialog box, set the pinyin alignment, font, font size, and offset.
  5. Click OK to apply the setting.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Pinyin appears above the selected text.

2. Set Enclosed Characters

Entry path: Home tab → drop-down arrow next to Pinyin Guide → Enclosed Character

  1. Select the text that you want to enclose.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow next to Pinyin Guide.
  4. Select Enclosed Character.
  5. In the dialog box, choose the enclosure style and related options such as shrinking the text or enlarging the enclosure.
