1. Set Font Color

Feature entry: Home tab → Font Color

1. Select the text you want to change.
2. Click the Home tab.
3. In the Font group, click the drop-down arrow next to Font Color.
4. Choose the color you want from the color panel.
5. The selected text changes to that color.

Success Criteria

• The selected text displays in the chosen color.
• You can continue editing, saving, or applying other formatting.

Tips While Using

• If no text is selected first, the color may apply to text you type next.
• Avoid very light colors when the document may be printed or projected.

2. Use a Custom Color

Feature entry: Home tab → Font Color → More Font Colors

1. Select the text.
2. Click the Font Color drop-down arrow.
3. Click More Font Colors at the bottom of the color panel.
4. Choose a color from the standard palette or enter exact RGB values in the custom settings.
5. Click OK to apply the custom color.

Success Criteria

• The text updates to the custom color you selected.
• The result matches the chosen or entered color value.

3. Use the Eyedropper

Feature entry: Home tab → Font Color → Eyedropper

1. Select the target text.
2. Click the Font Color drop-down arrow.
3. Select Eyedropper.
4. Move the pointer to any color on the screen and click it.
5. The selected text updates to the sampled color.

Success Criteria

• The text color matches the sampled on-screen color.
• You can repeat the same workflow for other text selections.
