1. Find text

Feature entry: Home tab → Find and Replace → Find tab

  1. Open the document you want to work on.
  2. Click Find and Replace on the Home tab.
  3. In the dialog box, switch to the Find tab.
  4. Enter your keyword in the Find what box.
  5. Click Find Next to move through matching results one by one.
  6. If you want to view all matches at once, click Highlight All.
  7. You can also press Control + F to open Find.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Matching content is located or highlighted in the document.
  • Next action available: You can continue searching or switch to replacement.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: A typo in the keyword can return no results.

2. Replace text

Feature entry: Home tab → Find and Replace → Replace tab

  1. Open your document and click Find and Replace on the Home tab.
  2. Switch to the Replace tab in the dialog box.
  3. Enter the original text in Find what.
  4. Enter the new text in Replace with.
  5. Click Replace to confirm changes one by one.
  6. Click Replace All if you want to process all matches in one action.
  7. You can also press Control + H to open Replace.

3. Replace content by format

Feature entry: Home tab → Find and Replace → Replace tab → Format

  2. Place the cursor in the Find what box.
  3. Click Format and set the original format you want to find.
  4. Place the cursor in the Replace with box.
  5. Click Format again and set the target format.
  6. Click Replace to process matches one by one, or click Replace All for batch processing.

6. Go to a specific position

Feature entry: Home tab → Find and Replace → Go To tab

  1. Open the Find and Replace dialog box.
  2. Switch to the Go To tab.
  3. Select a target type such as page, section, line, footnote, comment, or graphic.
  4. Enter the corresponding number or target value.
  5. Click Next to jump to the specified position.
  6. You can also press Control + G to open Go To.
