How-to Guide
1. Use the ribbon Clear Formatting option
Feature entry: Home tab → Clear Formatting
- Select the text whose formatting you want to remove. To process the full document, press
Ctrl+Afirst. - Click the Home tab at the top of the window.
- Find the Clear Formatting button with the eraser icon.
- Click the button to remove font, color, paragraph, and related formatting from the selected text.

- Interface result: The selected text returns to the current document default style.

2. Clear formatting from Styles
Feature entry: Home tab → Styles area → lower-right arrow → Clear Formatting
- Select the text whose formatting you want to remove.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click the arrow in the lower-right corner of the Styles area.
- In the expanded styles panel, select Clear Formatting.
- Finish clearing the text formatting.
