How-to Guide
1. Add an Underline
Feature entry: Tools > Home > Underline button (U icon)
- Select the text that you want to underline.
- Tap Tools.
- Tap the Home tab.
- Tap the Underline button.
- Confirm that the selected text now shows an underline.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: An underline appears below the selected text.
- Next action available: You can keep typing or continue applying other text formatting.
Tips While Using
- When you continue typing, newly entered text automatically keeps the underline format.
- If no text was selected first, confirm the cursor position or reselect the target content.
2. Change the Underline Color
Feature entry: Tools > Home > the ... icon next to the Underline button
- Select the text whose underline color you want to change.
- Tap Tools.
- Tap the Home tab.
- Tap the ... icon next to the Underline button.
- Select the color you want: black, blue, or yellow.
- Confirm that the underline color has updated.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: The underline below the text changes to the selected color.
- Next action available: You can continue editing text or switch to other formatting tools.
Tips While Using
- By default, the underline color follows the font color unless you choose a different color manually.
- If the color does not change, reselect the text and open the color menu again.
3. Remove an Underline
Feature entry: Tools > Home > Underline button (U icon)
- Select the underlined text.
- Tap Tools.
- Tap the Home tab.
- Tap the Underline button again.
- Confirm that the underline has been removed.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: The existing underline disappears.
- Next action available: The text remains in place and can be formatted further.
Tips While Using
- The same entry is used for both adding and removing an underline.
- If newly typed text is still underlined, tap the button again to turn the format off before typing.
