1. Insert a Page Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Page Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a page break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Page Break.

Success Criteria

  • The following content starts on a new page.
  • The document remains editable.

Tips While Using

  • Do not use repeated returns as a substitute for a page break.

2. Insert a Column Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Column Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a column break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Column Break.

Success Criteria

  • The following content moves to the next column.
  • The column-based document remains editable.

Tips While Using

  • A column break is more suitable when the document already uses a column layout.

3. Insert a Line Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Line Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a line break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Line Break.

Success Criteria

  • Content after the cursor continues with the intended line flow.
  • No document content is removed.

Tips While Using

  • A line break and a page break serve different layout purposes, so confirm your goal before inserting one.

4. Insert a Next-Page Section Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Next-Page Section Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a section break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Next-Page Section Break.

Success Criteria

  • The new section starts on the next page.
  • Content before and after the break remains editable.

Tips While Using

  • This option is suitable for chapter changes or any section that should begin on a new page.

5. Insert a Continuous Section Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Continuous Section Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a section break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Continuous Section Break.

Success Criteria

  • The new section starts on the same page.
  • Content continues on the current page.

Tips While Using

  • This option is suitable when you need a new section without starting a new page.

6. Insert an Even-Page Section Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Even-Page Section Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a section break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Even-Page Section Break.

Success Criteria

  • The new section starts on the next even-numbered page.
  • The document page structure remains usable for continued editing.

Tips While Using

  • This option is suitable for documents with fixed even-page layout rules.

7. Insert an Odd-Page Section Break

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Pagination → Odd-Page Section Break

  1. Tap the position where you want to insert a section break.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Select the Insert tab.
  4. Tap Pagination.
  5. Select Odd-Page Section Break.

Success Criteria

  • The new section starts on the next odd-numbered page.
  • The document remains ready for further editing.

Tips While Using

  • This option is suitable when chapters must begin on odd-numbered pages.
